It just takes an age for the video to start streaming, no progress bar to let you know how much it has already downloaded, the play/pause button just seems to have a mind of it's own and just doesn't react to anything I want it to do, sometimes when a video starts it just jumps straight to the end and asks me if I want to watch it again.
......Breathe......
It just plain irritates me. Maybe it's just me though. Although, I dont get these problems with any other video type sites.
@steverowlands does qik even buffer properly, cant say ive ever noticed it does. Usually when watching a streaming vid ill pause it until its about 25% downloaded then start to watch it. With qik not having a progress bar of how much has been buffered you cant tell. Ill pause it for a minute, start to play and it continues in the same jerky style it was before.
i dont know what kind of connection we have here at work but i downloaded the mtr podcast this mornin at about 650kb/sec yet trying to watch the 3g qik video on smstextnews was a nightmare.
@steverowlands "cant even contemplate watching your 3 videos right now.... because I hate Qik so much.If I did, my head would explode with irritation." Heheh. Glad I'm not the only one who feels like that. Qik wouldn't be so bad if it didn't pollute twitter so much.

And why don't they have a mobile friendly site with 3gp files / RTSP streaming?

I thought they had their mobile proposition sorted.. Obviously not. Maybe they took it offline. It was working..

@whatleydude I cant even contemplate watching your 3 videos right now.... because I hate Qik so much.
If I did, my head would explode with irritation.
Maybe I'll watch them this afternoon when a few cups of tea have kicked in.....

I find they load/play better in IE.

@SteveRowlands: I get the same problems, or used to. Seemed to have solved itself. I'm thinking it's a bandwidth issue.

Glad it's not just me suffering problems then.
I have just tried it in IE, and while it definitely is better, it's still not what I would call 'decent'
